Lumajang, MCE – The Lumajang Resort Police (Polres Lumajang) held its 2025 Year-End Press Release at the Mapolres courtyard on Monday, December 29, 2025. The session was led directly by the Chief of Lumajang Police, Police Commissioner Adjutant (AKBP) Alex Sandy Siregar, accompanied by high-ranking officials of the department.
During the briefing, AKBP Alex Sandy Siregar highlighted the department's exceptional performance throughout 2025. The police successfully achieved a 96.5% case resolution rate, marking the highest performance metric in the last five years.
"Our case resolution rate this year reached 96.5%. Looking back at the last five years, this is the highest percentage we have ever recorded," stated AKBP Alex. He further explained that criminal incidents decreased by approximately 20 cases compared to the previous year.

Throughout 2025, the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) handled 416 cases, successfully resolving 402 of them. The cases were dominated by conventional crimes such as:
- Theft with force/aggravated theft (Curat)
- Motor vehicle theft (Curanmor)
- Assault
- Online gambling
- Livestock theft (Curwan)
"While conventional crimes remain a priority, we have also placed serious attention on cases involving violence against children and sexual abuse," AKBP Alex added.
Across all divisions—including Criminal Investigation, Narcotics, and Traffic—the Lumajang Police received a total of 1,132 reports, with 1,092 cases successfully resolved.
The Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) saw a significant surge in activity. In 2025, they handled 193 cases, resolving 191 of them. This represents a sharp increase from 2024, where only 111 cases were cleared.
Evidence seized in 2025 includes:
- Crystal Meth (Sabu): 352.38 grams
- Marijuana (Ganja): 1,132.69 grams
- Ecstasy: 2 pills
- Dangerous Drugs (Okerbaya): 360,007 pills
The Traffic Unit (Satlantas) reported a positive trend in road safety. There were 521 recorded traffic accidents in 2025, resulting in 107 fatalities. This marks an 18% decrease in accidents compared to 2024, which saw 634 incidents.
To maintain public order, the police also confiscated various items, including motor vehicles and "brong" (loud) exhausts used in illegal street racing, as well as mobile phones and cash related to criminal activities.
